Steve Jobs Upstages New Products at Apple Event

賈伯斯在蘋果發表會上搶盡新產品的風采

	The Beatles may have been a no-show, but Steve Jobs, arguably the biggest star in the geek universe, was on hand in San Francisco Wednesday to rock the Apple faithful.
	The Mac daddy himself stepped onstage at the company's annual invitation-only product rollout event to a 45-second standing ovation.
	披頭四雖然沒有出場，但在科技人世界裡堪稱超級大明星的史帝夫‧賈伯斯，卻在週三出現於舊金山，讓蘋果的忠實粉絲激動不已。這位麥金塔老爹在蘋果的年度貴賓產品發表會中踏上舞台，獲得觀眾起立鼓掌長達四十五秒。

	It has been nearly a year since Jobs appeared at an Apple event.
	The company CEO and founder took a six-month sabbatical for health related issues that included a liver transplant operation.
	賈伯斯已有將近一年不曾在蘋果公司的活動中現身。這位蘋果公司的執行長暨創辦人因為健康問題休假六個月，還動了肝臟移植手術。
	Decked out in his trademark jeans and black mock turtleneck shirt, the noticeably thin Jobs thanked Apple fans for sticking by the company during the last year.
	Besides helping start the company, Jobs is seen by many in the tech industry as the creative force behind many of Apple's most successful products.
	身穿招牌的牛仔褲與黑色翻領衫，明顯消瘦不少的賈伯斯感謝蘋果粉絲過去一年來對蘋果公司的死忠。賈伯斯不但是蘋果公司的共同創辦人，眾多科技業界人士也認為他是蘋果許多成功產品背後的創意力量。
	"I'd like to thank everyone in the Apple community for the heartfelt support," Jobs said. "I'm vertical, back at Apple and loving every day of it."
	「我要感謝蘋果這個社群裡的每個人對我的全心支持，」賈伯斯說：「我站了起來，又回到了蘋果，每天都過得很開心。」
	"It's huge, obviously," said Wired.com senior editor Dylan Tweney.
	"He is the mastermind of the new Apple and it's really good to see him back. He's looking well -- thin, and some people were saying he sounds a little quieter and scratchier than before, but he's clearly doing well.".

	Prior to the event, many in the technology press had thought that Apple would use the event to announce the release of the Beatles music catalogue on the company's iTunes digital download service.
	Some went so far as to speculate that the 09-09-09 date was chosen to coincide with the Fab Four's song "Revolution #9."
	在這場活動之前，許多科技媒體人員都以為蘋果會藉由這次發表會宣佈該公司 iTunes 數位下載服務將推出披頭四音樂曲目。有些人甚至猜測發表會之所以選在 09 年 09 月 09 日舉辦，是為了呼應披頭四的歌曲《革命九號》。
	While no such announcement was made, Apple did take the opportunity to show off the latest version of iTunes and an updated iPod Nano and Touch, which will feature built-in video camera and larger storage capacity.
	雖然在發表會上沒有發布這項消息，但蘋果還是利用這次機會展示最新版的 iTunes 和升級版的 iPod Nano 與 iPod Touch，其中內建了攝影鏡頭以及更大的儲存容量。
