亞馬遜今天推出電腦用Kindle程式「Kindle for PC」供客戶免費下載，只要是用視窗作業系統的電腦，就能用這套程式購買、下載和閱讀亞馬遜Kindle商店裡的36萬本書。

Kindle for PC可和亞馬遜廣受歡迎的Kindle電子書閱讀器同步，用戶可以隨時在閱讀器和電腦間轉換，亞馬遜會用Kindle記號系統Whispersync追蹤閱讀進度，不會有找不到看到那一頁的問題。Kindle for PC程式可在全球100多國下載，網址www.amazon.com/KindleforPC。

Kindle for PC適用於Windows Vista和XP作業系統，不過電腦如果有微軟最新版作業系統Win 7，又有觸控螢幕，就更好用，動動手指就能找到頁碼。亞馬遜的電子書也能用蘋果iPhone或iPod Touch閱覽。

另外，晶片業龍頭英特爾也推出Intel Reader，服務視障或有閱讀困難的人。這種手持裝置可用內建攝影設備掃瞄文字，轉為數位型式，自動朗讀出來。
